Island Mango Black Tea

This Island Mango Black Tea was created to celebrate the "Gauguin: Voyage to Paradise" exhibit at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.

This black tea from Sri Lanka is a perfect blend of mango, calendula, and bits of lime.

Mango has long been associated with peace, harmony, and tranquility. The same three words also come to mind when you think of Selby Gardens. Our slice of paradise here in Sarasota!

The "Gauguin: Voyage to Paradise" highlights the essential role of botanicals in achieving Paul Gauguin's vision of the savage, primitive, and exotic. This tea will remind you of this glorious exhibit long after your visit.

The black tea used is OP graded and comes from 3 different, high-altitude growing regions. This flavorful blend is prized for accepting flavor well while allowing a mildly astringent coppery brew. Enjoy as a morning cuppa, or you will love this tea as a refreshing iced tea.

Selby Garden Custom Teas

Island Mango Black Tea is another custom tea we created for Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. This black tea joins Selby Select Rooibos, Secret Garden Green tea, and Little Monkey Fruit Tea.

20 to 25 cups of tea can be made from 2 oz of loose-leaf tea.

Brewing Instructions for Island Mango Black Tea

Steep this tea multiple times. Loose-leaf teas have far more flavor than traditional tea bags due to their superior quality and freshness. Tea strength is a personal decision, so please experiment to determine your preferences.

Use boiling water and allow your Island Mango Black Tea to steep as little as 3 minutes or as much as 6 minutes. For each of the following steeps, use boiling water and double the steep time.

Island Mango Black Tea can be steeped at least 2 times and, depending on the steep times, as many as 4 times. Also, consider blending the first steep with the following steeps to balance the tea. If you do not want to drink all the tea, stash it in the fridge for use later.

Store in a dry place.

Could use some improvements.
Color: Stick
My Caine corso 15month old puppy destroyed this item in five minutes. The product should have a longer/thicker rope inside tube and a thicker knott at each end of tube. The puppy loves the item but it is destroyed.

Dog loved it, wish it had lasted - better suited for light chewers
Color: Stick
Our puppy was able to pull the rope out of the rubber piece within a day or so. Unfortunately, he then started chewing on the blue rubber piece and had it destroyed in no time. Once the pieces started coming off, we had to throw it away to prevent him from ingesting it.

great for teething puppies
Color: Stick
I have puppies that are 6 weeks old and this toy has been great. They like to gnaw on it as their teeth are erupting. I easy to clean, washer and dryer. I have several other teething toys from same company as I liked this one so much. Would purchase again, highly recommend for teething pups.

My English springer spaniels favorite toy!
Color: Stick, Color: Stick
Boomer, my English springer spaniel loves this toy, it is by far his favorite since he was a young puppy. He is three now and although the original toy is still useable it was showing a little wear so I purchased a second one for his third birthday. He was an aggressive chewer when he was younger and I had a great deal of difficulty in finding toys he would not destroy in 30 minutes. I bought the Orka stick to help with teething and it proved to be very durable and became his favorite toy. He loves the new one just as much enthusiasm. boomer doesn't like the rope so I removed it.

Disappointment
Color: Stick
Disappointment, I have bought these for several of my labs as pups in the past, The center material used to be fleece with knots at ends and difficult To pull through the rubber chew . This toy now has like cotton and polyester strings through the toy tied into knots it easily to chews a part with the dogs, sticks in their teeth and makes a mess, Also easily pulls right through out of the rubber chew toy . After less than one day I ended up throwing away this knotted ball of string and I threaded some fleece strips through the toy and made large nots at the ends, it is now holding up quite well To a pretty aggressive puppy chewer. But I pretty much had to make my own toy
