"It is one of the most harrowing and debilitating chronicles that I have read. . . . He describes the ordeal brilliantly; he harbors no resentments apparently, and he has emerged from an inferno of bestiality with utter serenity." Maxwell Geismar, Saturday Review "An impressive and moving book." David Dempsey, New York Times "His is no ordinary prisoner-of-war story; better written than most, it contains no tales of swashbuckling defiance. . . . The force of this book is its testimony to the indomitable strength of the human spirit." Manchester Guardian "The plain narrative of this story would by itself have been fascinating, but this book is far more than a story, it is a work of art." Andre Siegfried, Academie Francaise "Sidney Stewart's composed narrative is one of the most noble documents ever penned by a prisoner of war. The companions he writes about remained men to the end, until at last only one man remained; he survived to write this unforgettable, this magnificent story." Perfect Personal Item , travel Size Bagpack!
Color: Black, Color: Black
I’m so happy with this travel backpack!! Roomy and you can pack a pair of shoes also underneath. I recently went on a Cruise and had to fly into Florida coming from California, two different climates. I easily pulled off my sweats and shoes and slipped into a pair shorts and swimsuit and flip flops at the airport , because I had it all and 2 of my 3-1-1 bags etc. Another great feature is the see thru zip compartments ! Endless pockets and this bag is consider that “Personal Item” that stows under the seat in front of you. Quality is great and it’s a beautiful bag! Price , amazing Value!

Nice personal item for travel
Color: Black
I recently used this bag on my cruise. It fits perfectly under the seat for a personal item. The quality is nice and the bag is spacious to back many items. The only thing I didn’t like is that I kept having to adjust the straps due to them coming loose.

Hidden Gem!
Color: Desert
Huge and suitcase like on the inside. The zipper is the same color as the backpack and looks luxurious. Very soft and cushy even with heavy stuff in it. Like a laptop. Which there is a specific place for it that is cushioned. But my favorite by far is the clear pockets on the inside. I like that you can see what your getting out of your bag and where to find what. Also the outside pockets are really useful! And kinda incognito which is great for if you want to put valuables there. You can use this for travel, school and work. It's very versatile. Very good for organization. Comgortable and easygoing. Quality is 5/5.

Great backpack for traveling
Color: Grey
Hold so much and is very light weight. Fabric seems to hold up well on train and airplane travel. Love the side pockets and shoe storage pocket!
