Katie Connor, Hope Ginsburg, Olivia Gibian and Rebecca Henderson were editors. All content was provided by the Colablablaborators themselves.
That class, or rather constellation of classes, was the first semester-long project of Sponge, the ongoing participatory artwork begun in 2006 by Hope Ginsburg, which is now headquartered at the Anderson Gallery of VCUarts. Sponge generates experimental approaches to learning and teaching. Attached to a public university the way a sea sponge affixes to a marine reef, Sponge provides open waters for the conspicuous mixing of disciplines.
