LOCTITE SI 5970 (ehemals Loctite 5970) ist eine hochflexible, schwarze Silikondichtmasse (Alkoxy-Silikon) für den Einsatz in Bereichen mit hohen Vibrationen und Belastungen. Diese professionelle Flächendichtung wurde speziell für die Automobilindustrie und den Maschinenbau entwickelt, um herkömmliche Kork-, Papier- und Gummidichtungen zu ersetzen.
Der Dichtstoff härtet bei Raumtemperatur durch Luftfeuchtigkeit aus und bildet eine dauerhafte, elastische Barriere. Dank seiner hervorragenden Ölbeständigkeit und Haftung auf Metall sowie Kunststoff ist er ideal für die Abdichtung von Ölwannen, Ventildeckeln, Getriebegehäusen und Steuerkettenabdeckungen. Da das Silikon säurefrei (neutralvernetzend) ist, korrodiert es keine empfindlichen Metallteile oder Sensoren.

🔧 Typische Anwendungen (KFZ & Industrie)
- Motorenbau: Abdichtung von Ölwannen, Ventildeckeln (Ventilhauben), Steuergehäusen.
- Antriebsstrang: Getriebegehäuse, Differentialdeckel und Achsantriebe.
- Industrie: Abdichtung von flexiblen Flanschen, gestanzten Blechteilen und Gehäusen mit hohen Vibrationen.
- Reparatur: Universelle "Dichtung aus der Tube", wenn keine Originaldichtung verfügbar ist.
🧪 Anwendungshinweise
- Vorbereitung: Alte Dichtungsreste restlos entfernen – idealerweise mit LOCTITE SF 7200 Dichtstoffentferner.
- Reinigung: Dichtflächen entfetten und reinigen mit LOCTITE SF 7063 (bei Kunststoffteilen LOCTITE SF 7070 verwenden).
- Auftragen: Eine Raupe LOCTITE SI 5970 auf eine Flanschseite auftragen. Schraubenlöcher umkreisen.
- Montage: Teile innerhalb von 15–25 Minuten (vor Hautbildung) fügen und leicht anziehen.
- Aushärtung: Endfestigkeit nach 24 Stunden. Nach Gebrauch Hände mit LOCTITE SF 7850 reinigen.

Lightweight but I like it

Honestly fantastic for the price. It's just heavy enough to not get yanked around. It's pretty. And it has not looked like it has any wear or anything yet. I would recommend it. Especially for the price. If you want something a little bit more heavy duty I would definitely go with something else but I've had no issues

It gets the job done.

These some on a flat piece of cardboard, and I was concerned. It goes together well, and has held up to Highschooler use for a month so far. It looks nice, but is nothing fancy. If you are looking for any sort of resistance for your paper towel for tearing, this product probably isn't for you. It is weighted enough for it to not fall over, it looks nice enough to be fine but not nice enough to want to steal. Exactly what I was looking for. If you are searching for the perfect paper towel holder... you probably will take issue with this one. If you just need a new paper towel holder, this one might do.

Bottom screw will rust and permanently stain counter

Besides the ungalvanized or stainless steel bottom screw that rusts at the first sign of moisture this product has held up incredibly well. I've used the product for 3 years and that is the only problem. I'm probably going to get a deduction in my security deposit for the rust stains that have permeated the countertop. The rest of the product is really well made and holds up well
