Die Installation von Keelshield ist eine einfache Heimwerkerarbeit: Sie müssen das Pad nur auf die erforderliche Länge zuschneiden, um den Scheuerbereich (Kiel, Bug, Bereich um den Motor) zu schützen.

Keelshield ist ideal für lackierte Rümpfe, sofern diese in gutem Zustand sind. Ebenso geeignet auf Aluminiumrümpfen (außer bei einigen messerartigen Rumpfformen).
